The right to
information bill was introduced in the lok sabha by the minister of state for
personnel, public grievances and pensions on 19th July 2019. It
seeks to amend RTI act, 2005. The bill was passed with 218 ‘aye’ against 79
‘nay’ votes in lok sabha.
Among all
the Independence Day speeches by prime ministers since 1991, the ones made by
PM Narendra modi has been the longest one. Twitter launched a customized
Independence Day emoji of the ashoka chakra. The emoji can be used with
hashtags like indiaindependencday and #idayindia.
